The recently released NASS harvested yields can be used to estimate the 2016 Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) payments planned for payment in the fall. These estimates will likely vary from the final Farm Service Agency (FSA) yields used to calculate the actual payments this fall and should only be used as approximations. Another variable in these calculations that is currently unknown is the market price; for this example we have used a range of prices that can be changed by using the Crop/Price dropdown at the bottom of the interactive map. Additionally, the 6.8% sequestration adjustment that occurred the past two years was also applied to these estimates, but that value may differ. These ARC payment projections will continue to be updated throughout the year as we gain more information.
Note that the estimated $/acre payments in the map below are based on 85% of base acres and have also assumed a 6.8% sequestration again. This map represents estimated ARC-CO payments at a price of $3.40. The interactive map with estimated payments for both corn and soybeans at several prices can be found here.
