Cindy
As our Consulting Business Operations Manager at Decision Innovation Solutions Cindy Harwood is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and ensures project operating procedures are in place, work is organized and well-coordinated, and staff are operating at their highest level of performance and efficiency.
Cindy earned a BA degree in Liberal Arts from St. Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa.Upon graduation she moved to central Iowa to pursue a career with Pioneer Hi-Bred International.During her 32 plus years with Pioneer Hi-Bred, Dupont Pioneer, and Corteva, Cindy held various positions supporting plant breeding, trait development, finance, trait licensing and regulatory.
For nearly two decades she managed global teams responsible for project, document and asset management, quality management systems, and operating budgets, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement. She enjoys being a people leader, coach, and mentor.
Cindy grew up on a row crop farm in northern Illinois. She was active in 4-H and FFA, showing black angus cattle and horses at county and state fairs. In addition to her consulting role at DIS, Cindy is the co-owner/operator of Hickory Grove Ranch Performance Horses. Cindy, husband Steve, children Matt and Caroline are all involved in the family business of boarding horses and training/showing their own reining horses. She especially enjoys coaching horse-crazy kids and providing them an outlet for their equine passions.
